A great aggro song. I love this album so much :D. Nah, this is great. But Staind tend to make so many soft boring songs, they really need to make songs like this more often. If it weren't for Fred Durst we probably would've never heard Staind.
They were playing the same show as him and he had a big enough problem with their set that he tried to have them kicked out,, they stayed and when he heard them he saw potential and became their producer. He actually did some backup vocals for "No Sex" by Limp Bizkit.
He also did a cover with Fred titled "Bring The Noise". It was left unreleased, but you can find it on Youtube. It's one of rare occasions where Aaron raps. Watch the documentary on Staind and listen to how Aaron was criticised for playing for American troops and funding his daughter's school to stay open. They deliberately wrote this song to basically chuck shit back in the typical stereotypical people that hate because they have nothing better to do.
Great song! Totally man. Especially the part about someone ganking my mom's Ford Focus! A perfect Anti-Troll Campaign song. This song must hit close to home for a lot of them. I don't know what to think of this song to be honest. The instrumentals and general feeling of the song is great, but I'm not to fond of the lyrics, I think they kinda have a full-of-yourself vibe to them, if that makes any sense.
Still, I enjoy listening to it, and Staind is one of my favorite bands. He goes from hard rock to almost classic rock to kind of 80s pop to full on hardcore metal. Aaron is honestly decent at rapping and he could totally do it more pull it off.
I mean his lyrics in this song are definitely better than the majority of Fred Durst's lyrics and i'm in no way hating on Limp Bizkit, they're awesome :P. Aaron freaking rocks and hands down Staind is as good if not better live as they are in the studio. Few bands can claim that, as there are few true bands left. These types of comments are lame attention grabbers, as if thumbs up even reward anything. The 36 people who dont like this are those people who have peanut butter on their dick.
Never said I was. Citing my sources, if you look up the little documentary that they did about recording this album, you'll see what I mean by it being FUBAR. The song that we see here is quite a different beast than what Mike had in mind. The recording for this song was so last minute and hellish that it's no wonder.
So do me a favour and lick your own balls if you want to taste your own rapier wit so bad. First time I heard this song I cracked up. It's an awesome new direction for Staind. I can't help but feel that this song could have been so much better if the recording process hadn't been so FUBAR. Sweet guitarwork though. Hopefully they'll make a song called Knowitall and then we can rally about those assholes too. Im pretty sure this song is talking to the trolls and critics arguing and trash talking on youtube well internet in general.
So nice to hear them back to their roots. Loved Dysfunction. At certain points this sounds like it should be a Limp Bizkit song with the insipid half-rapped lyrics in the verses. Oddly enough, this song fits perfectly on their new album and I have to say I don't mind it. The lyrics aren't the greatest, but the whole angry heavy vibe fits with the album. All in all General Comment I was very confused at coldguitargod's comment for a moment. I was like like Snoop? Uh I am pretty sure that is Fred Durst!
I had heard this track on Spotify and it is the regular version. So I guess the scoop was that Snoop came in and recorded and at the last minute they pulled his raps off the album.
There is still a version out there that appeared on the Japanese Release of the CD. You can find it on YouTube. I think this is a cool track that is kinda funny. Its alright to listen to but I think this is more like quirky fun tune for them and there are more solid songs on the CD. General Comment I think this song is bout critics who bash on Bands these days, when some of the bands are there to help other people through problems.
Staind is a good band to listen to if you having a bad day. Musiclong on May 08, Link. General Comment This song is the band hitting back at losers who sit in their parents basement all day trashing bands they don't like on the internet. Staind is a band that does tend to get a lot of hate on the internet from musical elitist types. General Comment I thought the lyrics were "Sitting in your mama's basement with a shi-tsu" which gives the song a twisted vibe.
