Obviously, Amy did. She was trying to hire a lot of women. I just approach it as a freak. But it is fun. I grew very close to our post-producer, Helen Pai, who did just about everything. At one point, Amy was directing more so we saddled Helen with a lot of the music stuff. She would meet with us in spotting sessions and help us with music. She was a big force behind the scenes, in the post-production. A lot of great women in cast and crew.
TV people [almost] never get to hear that. It was great. Oh, man. I think it was in the editing, right before we had to turn in all the music for that episode that we finally saw it. It was pretty intense. They really guarded it carefully. I was completely surprised. I really hope there is. I love how they kept it under wraps.
The plot is great. In that sense, I think, if they all want to do it, it can just go on forever. Twitter: MdellW. Meredith Woerner is the former editor for Hero Complex. Eric Gorfain. By Meredith Woerner. Meredith Woerner. How did the s song get attached to the beloved television dramedy Gilmore Girls? The now-nostalgic series, created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, ran from Still, King eventually stopped performing the song live, noting that some felt the lyrics were incorrect or insensitive. Apparently, Gilmore Girls creator Sherman-Palladino asked King for permission to use the original track for the show. I don't think it's a copyright issue, as the series was filmed on the same Warner Brothers studio lot as before and is produced by the same production company.
The Troubadour is still roaming the Stars Hollow town square. You'll recognize a lot of the Sam Phillips "la la" music cues from classic Gilmore Girls scenes and transitions. Hep Alien is still rocking as well.
As for other music, a cover of The Carpenters' song "Top Of The World" specifically, the cover that you may remember from the Parent Trap soundtrack can be heard in "Winter," when Lorelai arrives at Friday Night Dinner, some Dolly Parton and jazz standards, to name a few.
