You won't find one with a bigger mah battery. You will have to get the higher mah battery separate. Other wise you have to add the fuel filter.
One thing always over looked until it's too late and the engine is ruined. Decided to give my starter box a good clean today which is exactly the same as the one in your link, Fastrax King part no FAST Great bit of kit but i think their discontinued now, mine is about 16 years old and never let me down, its still in good condition so i can definitely recommend them. Does anyone else have experience with these starter boxes??? I now want to connect up the Q-world front plate and use the Fastrax plug in starter with he banana clips which looking at the spec should be part number FAST Also looking at the info for this glow plug igniter its states the input voltage needs to be 1.
Does anyone know if this means the panel is faulty??? You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account. Paste as plain text instead. Only 75 emoji are allowed.

Spanky Posted April 2, Posted April 2, Hi all, Hope everyone's keeping safe and entertained with the current circumstances!
I'm after some pointers regarding a new Glow Igniter and what Glow Plugs to run.
 More sharing options Mack1 Posted April 2, Much like a diesel engine in a full-size vehicle requires an additional punch of energy to ignite the fuel, a nitro engine needs to reach a higher temperature to burn the fuel mixture. Using a glow plug allows the transfer of a combination of heated air and fuel for a faster start.
The repetition of this cycle is the main characteristic of the glow engine. Helpful tips. How long does it take for a glow plug igniter to charge? How does RC glow plug igniter work?

Can you push start a nitro RC car? How do you test an RC igniter? Why is the glow plug on my Nitro not working? Where is the charge plug on a glow starter? Do you need to charge your nitro car glow starter? Why is the glow plug on my car not working? I used large slip-joint pliers to reach across the 2 inches.
After it starts moving, work around the mount to seat the battery. Check the voltage at the glow plug connector. It should be roughly 1. Record the voltage, wait approximately 24 hours, then measure it again.
If the voltage readings are nearly the same, then it should be safe to charge the new battery. After the battery is charged, try it on a glow plug. In my unit, I nearly doubled the power-storage capacity from mAh to mAh with only a 7-gram weight increase. This will increase the recharge time from 10 hours to 17 hours.
A different charger to provide the extra power could be used to charge the new battery quicker. The difference between mAh and mAh capacity is the ability to heat a typical glow plug that draws 3 amps for 66 minutes, compared to 38 minutes. If you have another igniter or other field equipment, consider labeling them with your name and address and covering the label with the clear shrink sleeve material.
Although some may choose to purchase a new glow plug igniter, others may opt to fix a dead one. Either way, proper charging and maintenance of your glow plug igniter will ensure that it is ready when you are. This igniter is tricky to reassemble after repairs have been made. Repairing this igniter requires a soldering iron. A set screw retains the outer sleeve. The battery in this igniter is glued to the sleeve, making it irreparable.
This shows a disassembled igniter. This battery is crimped together. Pliers are used to insert the battery into the mount. Check the voltage when repairs are complete. The battery replacement fixed this glow plug igniter. Add new comment Print this article.
Submitted by Clancy Arnold not verified on March 21, - pm Source of the battery. Bill I am glad you liked it. I had to repair mine so decided to take pictures while doing the battery replacement. This is my secod article in Model Aviation. Clancy I received my copy of Model Aviation, April issue, today with my article in it and have allready received an email asking for a suggested source of the battery.
Submitted by Clancy Arnold not verified on March 29, - am I stand corrected I stand corrected! My original decision was based on looking at the one working unit loaned to me for the article. The fact that it was still working precluded any in depth attempt to disassemble it.
The joint between the battery and the outer sleeve may have been solder but the flux residue looked like an epoxy compound. It still remains at the bottom of the ranking for battery replacement due to the amount of heat required to solder the outer sleeve to the bottom of the battery case and the risk of damage to the battery from excessive heat.
You need a "big" soldering iron. If the original manufacturer still offers a trade-in program then that would be my first recommendation.
You will have to be careful to not damage the insulation on the center conductor wire. It appears there is a notch in the edge of the outer sleeve to allow the insulated wire to pass between the battery and the outer sleeve safely.
