Class signup for our online offerings is just the same as for our in-person ones. You have several options. You can click the Book button next to a particular class in the schedule widget below. You can also access our schedule through our Mindbody site and sign up there. Approximately, one hour before your class, you will receive an email with a Zoom link to sign up. Zoom is a video chat and conferencing service that we are using to teach remote classes. If you have any existing Drop-In class passes in your account, like a 5-Class or Class pass , it will automatically deduct from those options.
If you would like to use an Online Class payment option instead, you can either purchase these from the Online Store on our Mindbody site or ask Front Desk for assistance with the purchase.
You should get a confirmation email when you sign up for class from Mindbody, but class links are sent in a separate email from Front Desk 1 hour before class. Our front desk staff can manually re-send you a link. You can also type out this information either privately to only your teacher or publicly to the entire class by clicking on Chat at the bottom of your Zoom screen. Our main youth program is reserved for youth who have successfully completed kindergarten through age Beginner youth through age 12 should begin with a Level 1 class; for youth ages 13 and up, Aerials for Teens is the best place to begin their aerial journey. Youth who have not yet successfully completed kindergarten may take Private Lessons at Sky Candy with the additional supervision by their parent s or guardian s.
What should my child wear to class or camp? For most of our aerial and circus classes, we recommend close-fitting workout clothes. No denim is allowed as it prohibits a safe and effective range of motion. We will also ask any students to remove their shoes before getting on the mats, so they should be prepared to be barefoot for most of the time.
We prohibit clothing with metal zippers, exposed buttons, grommets or other decorative elements that may get caught on and damage the apparatus, likewise all jewelry must be removed beforehand as they could pinch the student and damage the apparatus.
Lastly, we advise against applying lotions or oils before attending class, as they will impede grip. At this time, we are also requiring all persons in our physical studio space to wear a face mask for the entirety of their time inside. Masks should cover the nose and mouth and fit well around the face. When should my child arrive for class? Due to COVID precautions, we will not allow students into our space before the start time of their class.
Please allow time to locate parking on site. If your child arrives 10 minutes or more after the start of their class, they will not be allowed to join the class, for their safety and the safety of the other students. Also, unfortunately, also due to COVID precautions, we are not allowing parents to wait inside while their child takes a class.
